Menorca
Menorca – The Quiet Isle with a Storied British Past
Menorca is the northernmost island of the Balearics and is often referred to as the "Green Island." Due to its location, the climate is generally slightly cooler, with the Mistral wind frequently sweeping across the north coast. Meanwhile, the breathtakingly beautiful, sheltered coves in the south captivate visitors with their turquoise waters.
The picturesque port city of Ciutadella, with its narrow harbor stretching deep into the town, is a popular destination for both sailors and land-based travelers alike. On the eastern end of the island, the capital Mahón entices visitors with its charming, British-influenced old town and an impressively vast natural harbor, home to numerous marinas.
Between these two significant port cities, Menorca truly lives up to its "green" reputation, boasting rolling hills, pastures, livestock farming, and a rich tradition of cheese production.

Frequently asked
Is Menorca better than Mallorca for a quiet luxury holiday?
Menorca is quieter, smaller, and more protected — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with strict building limits. Mallorca offers more variety (mountains, city culture, beaches, Michelin dining) and broader accommodation options. We often combine both: a few days in Mallorca, a few in Menorca by yacht or private flight.
What kind of accommodation is available in Menorca?
Restored agroturismos in the countryside, intimate boutique hotels in Ciutadella and Maó, and a handful of private villas with pool and direct beach access. Few large resorts. The character is rustic-elegant rather than glossy.
When is the best time to visit Menorca?
Late May through early October. June and September are ideal — warm sea, long days, no crowds. Festes de Sant Joan in late June is a unique cultural moment if you book well ahead. Many smaller properties close November to April.
How do I get to Menorca?
Direct flights from London, Barcelona and Madrid in season. From Mallorca, we typically arrange a 15-minute helicopter transfer, a fast ferry, or a private yacht crossing. Our team handles the logistics end-to-end.
